Pencader student shot dead after Facebook feud
A 17 year old from Southbridge turned himself in Wednesday in connection with the Saturday shooting death of Pencader Charter student Larry Parks, and was charged with first-degree murder.
The victim’s father says the shooting was motivated by words exchanged on social media:
Larry Parks, Sr. says he knew words were exchanged through social media, but his son never felt threatened.
“He was having fun. I guess this other person or whosever involved, he wants to take it somewhere else; that’s what he did, for no reason. He’s gone. He’s gone,” Parks, Sr. said.
The 17-year-old from Bear was a student at Pencader Charter High School.
Condolences to the families.
Astounding. I feel guilty for assuming it was drug industry related. Somehow, I feel worse that it’s not.
Real sad event !
